The next Wiltshire general election is currently scheduled to be held on 30 September 3022 to elect the 28th Wiltshire National Assembly. This election is expected to be a sole-parliamentary election, in which no other national or local offices are up for contest (with the majority of local elections scheduled for the original election date of 16 July).
In January 3022, Pym Manfred was elected Leader of the Labour Party and is expected to challenge the incumbent Stability Prime Minister. That month also saw significant speculation over Crawley's leadership, with some expecting him to retire before the election or to retire at the election.
In February 3022, Kenny Rushmore, the Leader of the National Assembly, announced that the term length of the National Assembly would be extended to nine-months, from the post-independence maximum of six. Originally, the election was scheduled to coincide with the Summer 3022 Wiltshire Local Elections on 16 July.
