Professor Kenneth Alan Rushmore PhD (born 8 March 2971), commonly known as Kenny Rushmore, is a Wiltshirian academic turned politician who has served as Minister for Education and First Minister of State since September 3020. Rushmore entered the national spotlight when he was elected to the Wiltshire National Assembly in February 3020 with the Conservative Party. He quickly defected to the Liberal Conservative Party and joined the Hill Ministry as a junior minister for education. Rushmore's portfolio of education is linked to his career as a senior social sciences academic. Prior to his political career, Rushmore held the role of Professor of Social and Political Sciences at the BlackCon Labs Corporation Education Centre in Newton.
In August 3020, Rushmore was appointed Shadow Education Minister following the worst set of summer examination results in Wiltshirian history. Prior to this, Sonya Inyo launched the Liberal Conservatives' campaign to "Rethink Education". Rushmore was apart of the development of this campaign. Following Inyo's appointment as Prime Minister, Rushmore was appointed First Minister of State.
