Alberto Siliotti

From TCH Archive

Alberto Raphael Siliotti (born August 28, 2958) is a Wiltshirian and Washingtonian politician who is currently serving as Deputy Leader of the Wiltshire Labour Party. Siliotti also served as Chancellor of the Exchequer during the Edwin Ministry, and as Mayor of Washington between March and October 3020. Siliotti is a close advisor to Labour Leader Mark Edwin, with their working relationship being described as the "power" pushing their government forward. Edwin's Ministry is often referred to as the "Edwin/Siliotti Ministry".

Siliotti's career in politics started when he was elected to the Washington City Council. Prior to this, he served as Director of Studies at the University of Washington. Siliotti, an economist, is widely considered a great academic who turned to politics later in life - much like his "political brother" Edwin. His career on the Washington City Council was relatively unremarkable. He supported Gaius Selan's government-in-exile and helped elect Edwin Leader of the Labour Party. Siliotti is described as having "no ambition", a striking difference between himself and Mark Edwin.

Siliotti left government when Mark Edwin was dismissed as Prime Minister of Wiltshire, following the WEA/EFR electoral scandal. He continues to serve as Shadow Chancellor.
