Audrick Hill formed a majority republican government, his fifth ministry, on 13 January 3026 in the hours following the 3026 general election. In his victory speech, Hill declared "a new age for a new republic", after which he was re-appointed prime minister by governor-general Ray Banes.
Audrick Hill appointed himself minister for the republic as he set out to organise the Park Convention of 3026, a convention to write and ratify the new Wiltshirian constitution. In a break with tradition, he entrusted his deputy, Amy Raab, with the position of minister of state for the cabinet office, giving her significant oversight over the government.
