The Republic of Paxem was officially founded on August 1st, 3021, following the dissolution of the Neu Corporate Republik. Directly after the coup d'etat which saw Republik Chancellor Florian Steinbauer removed from power and arrested, a group of political theorists, businessmen, and revolutionary figures convened in Novenæ to draft the framework for the new nation. After less than a week, the Paxemese Constitution was finalized and signed by all at the convention, coming into law on August 7th, 3021. Each ex-Republik state held popular referendums on whether to join the nation, with Novenæ, Aquinas, Senones, Zaandam, and Neu Wiltshire (now Winden) becoming member states of the new republic, with Novenæ being the capital.
