SMG (the Soviet-Mongolian Government) was a heavily militant corporate state controlled by ethnic Gerbians that was one of the surviving factions of The Rupture. It was a ruthless and totalitarian force to the various peoples under its control, and it stands as a reminder and a permanent mark on the races on Taurus.
It enforced a system of Geyley, or state-sponsored apartheid towards Non-Gerbian peoples in SMG Proper. This was notably present in Dalkai before independence, and was the main reason for various secessionist movements
