Princess Elisa, Duchess of Mountbatten (Elisa Isabel Matilda; born 1 February 2999) is a Balancín royal and liberal activist. Since 17 April 3024, she has been Duchess of Mountbatten, among the most powerful noblemen in the Balancín Kingdoms.

She is the eldest granddaughter of King Charles VI and the older sister of Queen Mary Maekar. She was born during the interregnum, the period in which no individual sat on the Iberian Throne. Following the restoration of the monarchy in March 3021 during her studies at the University of Marino, Elisa became the heir apparent of the King, given the death of her mother in 3014. However, before the death of King Charles VI in the same year, she renounced her claim to the throne on the grounds that she wished to live a normal life. In her writ of recusal, she agreed to renounce her claim and the claim of all her descendants. Despite this, she continued to be styled as Princess Elisa.

At the outbreak of the War of the Balancín Succession after the death of her grandfather, Princess Elisa was in Marino continuing her undergraduate studies. Understanding the threat upon her life given her birthright, she formally requested asylum in Marino, which was quickly granted by the Kipiani Administration. She stayed in Marino until the end of her undergraduate studies in the summer of 3022, after which time she moved to Madrid with her partner, Paul Correia, Earl Correia, who she had met in Marino. Correia was a Madrilene nobleman, the fourth son of the Earl of Les Lilas. Upon his marriage, he renounced his Madrilene noble title and became Mr. Paul Correia. Princess Elisa and Paul married after arriving in Madrid, after which time she became styled Princess Elisa, Mrs Paul Correia.

In early 3023, Princess Elisa gave birth to a son, who she named Charles after her grandfather. Under the rules of the Royal Titles Act, her son, Charles, is not entitled to the style of Prince or "His Royal Highness" as he is not the main-line grandchild of a monarch (is the great-grandson of King Charles VI). There was some speculation during her pregnancy that she would return to Balancía, which was under Wiltshirian control at the time, to assert a claim for her or her son after the abdication of Queen Mary, her sister. No such move was made. However, in January 3024, Elisa announced that she was pregnant with a second child. Later, in March, Princess Elisa arrived in Balancía for the first time since leaving in 3021. She announced that she would be residing permanently in Balancía and that she would seek to take up a role as "an activist for strength, fairness, and democracy".

Following her return to the Balancín Kingdoms, Princess Elisa met with the Lord Maekar, her paternal grandfather, where she expressed interest in being restored as his heir. Lord Maekar's son (and Elisa's father), Roberto, died in the Balancín War in 3021. Thus, Elisa's return helped settle the uncertain succession of House Maekar and the Dreadfort. Her nomination as the Maekar heir gave the Princess a seat in the King's Court of Parliament. Following her expression of liberalising policies, King Maximilian II refused to grant the Princess a title of nobility (traditionally an Earldom) upon the request of Lord Maekar. Despite King Maximilian's refusal, the death of Lord Maekar in April 3024 elevated her to the position of Duchess of Mountbatten, a title she holds to this day.
