Jake Burke Simpson (born 8 December 2953) is a Wiltshirian Labour Party politician and trade union leader who is currently the Leader of the Labour Party since 3020.

Simpson was elected Leader of the Labour Party following the landslide loss in the October 3020 election, running on a platform to restore Labour's position as a "worker's party", instead of a "left-wing party". His platform was one of moderation while still being a loud advocate for worker's rights. His election was the first time a Labour Party Leader was elected by the Labour Party membership. He is also the first Labour Leader since Ioannis Kruger to have not served as Prime Minister of Wiltshire (as of December 3020).

Prior to his election, Simpson served as Chancellor of the Exchequer during the Smith Ministry and as Home Minister in the Kohl Caretaker Ministry. He was previously a member of the Socialist Party, defecting in early 3019 alongside Rita Smith.

Jake Simpson was a Star Fleet officer, holding the rank of "Commander Specialist". However, he never served aboard a Federation Starship and was often posted to administrative positions planet-side.
