Wiltshire Treasury

The Repository and Treasury of the Wiltshire Sixth Republic, or more commonly known as The Treasury, or The Exchequer, is the department of the Government of Wiltshire responsible for developing and executing the government's public finance policy and economic policy. The Treasury maintains the Office System for Central Accounting and Reporting (OSCAR) which itemizes departmental spending under thousands of category headings, and from which the government accounts, quarterly financial statements and budgets are produced.

The Treasury is also responsible for the collection of taxation with the maintenance of the Office of Revenues and Customs (ORC) and Companies House, which tracks, records and maintains a register of all registered corporations, limited companies and organizations operating within Wiltshire. It also operates with the ORC to record tax bills and overdue expenses.

In addition to the OCR, OSCAR, and Companies House, the Treasury also administers the Wiltshire Elections Authority.

The head of the Treasury of the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Minister for Finance, currently Renee Borne. The Treasury is often referred to as the most important department of government.
