Rose (Rose Alba; born 6 January 2990) is Holy Roman Empress and Queen of the Balancín Kingdoms as the second wife of King Maximilian II. Since January 3024, she has been chairwoman of the Royal Trust. Known colloquially as Queen Rosie or Empress Rosie, Rose is among the most senior members of the Balancín Royal Family.
Born as the eldest child to Lord Jon Alba, Duke of Alba, Rose grew up in Lancastria - the ancestral home of House Alba. She grew up alongside Princess Matilda, the only child of King Charles VI, and Princess Beatrice of Lancastria. In 3021, following the re-establishment of the monarchy, House Alba migrated to Balancía, which is when Rose became heir to the holdings of her father. Lord Jon quickly rose through the ranks of Balancín nobility, becoming Duke of Alba (a duchy created for his house in Southern Bonitana) and Lord Keeper of the King's Seal (the most senior advisor to the King). Through this, Rose became a leading candidate for the marriage of King Maximilian II, following the death of Queen Elizabeth in 3024.
In April 3024, the Iberian Palace announced Rose's engagement to the King. They were marriage shortly after in a toned-down ceremony, as the Doggerlands Crusaders were well underway. Following this, Rose gained the style of "Her Majesty The Queen", becoming the first Queen of Lancastrian birth since Queen Lydia.
Upon her enthronement as Queen, Rose renounced her rights to inherit the Duchy of Alba. Her father, Lord Jon, declared that the titles would go to any child of the King and Queen not in line for the Iberian Throne (i.e., a second child). In the event of his death without any issue from the King and Queen, the titles of the Duchy would go to his second son, Sir Mark Alba.
