Paul Correia, Duke of Mountbatten (born 17 September 2998) is a former Madrilene and Balancín nobleman, political activist, and the husband of Princess Elisa, Duchess of Mountbatten. Having married Princess Elisa in 3022, Correia renounced his inheritance rights and titles associated with the Duchy of the Two Sicilies in the Madrilene Empire because his father disapproved of him marrying a Princess who had no political prospects herself. In March 3024, Correia, his wife Elisa, and their son Charles moved to the Balancín Kingdoms as her wife sought to resume participation in Balancín politics. Shortly after, upon the death of Elisa's paternal grandfather, the Lord Maekar, Elisa inherited the Duchy of Mountbatten. Paul holds the title Duke of Mountbatten jure uxoris (i.e., by the virtue of his marriage).
Correia's political activism brought him constantly in conflict with his father, the Duke of the Two Sicilies, and his noble friends. He supported greater rights for workers and have since come out in favour of the democratisation of southern France. Many expect that his approach will be applied to his own participation in Balancín politics. Correia is converted to Pontificalism prior to his marriage to Princess Elisa and has since played an active role in his community church. Despite being financially cut off from the Les Lilas estate, he has donated 15,000 marks per year to his community church to support their work (a much needed allowance given the scarcity of Pontifical parishes in southern France).
