Mallroy Scott Fitzgerald III (8 January 2930 - 12 December 2996) was a Federation politician and enlisted soldier who served in the United Federation of Planets House of Representatives and as the Secretary of Commerce and Trade between 2986 until 2992. In 2993, with the outbreak of the Federation/C.E. war, Fitzgerald was enlisted into Star Fleet in order to defend Terra. He lost his life on 12 December 2996. Fitzgerald was the eldest son of political heavy-weight Mallroy S. Fitzgerald II, who served as Vice President of the United Federation of Planets under President Annek Okeg. Fitzgerald's son, M Fitzgerald, went onto become a Wiltshirian politician and Chief Envoy to the Eastern Federal Republic.
Fitzgerald was elected as a Republican politician, but continued under the Democratic administration of President Grand Tarkin. His father went onto challenge Tarkin for election in 2993, losing as Tarkin solidly won a second term. Tarkin would be assassinated later that year, igniting the Federation/C.E. war.
