Kaito Aumākua

From TCH Archive

Kaito Aumākua I[1] (Kaito Aumākua Maha Pāremi; born 28 February 2942) is King of Lorikeet, known as the Tāhā, since 3025. He is informally known as Kaito I.

Born Kaito Maha Pāremi in Sentosa, Kaito Aumākua was the eldest son and heir to the Pāremi family fortune. The Pāremi family was not the oldest of the original Daokan kindreds, though it certainly was the most prominent after the persecution of the Daokan people through the 29th century. In the 30th century, as the United Federation of Planets regained a foothold on Terra, the Pāremi began to position themselves in positions of political power in order to safeguard a Daokan state. As Lorikeet was constructed, Kaito Aumākua migrated there to support the construction of Daokan education as part of his early philanthropy. He met his wife, Takako Juno, and quickly married in 2961, later describing the early years of their relationship as the "most serene years imaginable". Kaito Aumākua and Takako had five children, three of whom survived into adulthood: Kaito, Sato, Melewa, Sjin, Mako. The couple lost their first child, Kaito, shortly after his birth. Their later children all survived for longer, with their second child (a daughter called Melewa) being killed in a Federation shuttle accident in 2986. During the middle years of his life, Kaito Aumākua focused on being a father, while his brother, Sjin, took over the Pāremi family's philanthropy.
