January 3022 Wiltshire local elections

From TCH Archive

Devolved elections are set to be held on Friday 14 January 3022 to elect local governments for the cities of Arches, Juneville, Newton, Walkerton and Washington. In all five cities, elections for Mayor and for the City Council will be concurrent. In addition, the 3022 Wiltshire Presidential Election will be held on the same day.

These local elections will be Mitchell Crawley's first "mid-terms" and will likely act as something of a referendum on his Stability Party government. Already, the cities of Newton, Arches and Walkerton have Stability-controlled governments. The party's ability to hold these governments (including gaining a majority on the Walkerton and Arches City Council), as well as potentially gaining the Washington City Council, will serve as a vindication for the government. Any substantial losses, however, may serve to strengthen Leon Larsson and Labour's hand heading into the second half of the Assembly term and heading into the next general election.
