House Alba is a noble house that originated in the Kingdom of Lancastria, eventually moving to the Balancín Kingdoms following the re-establishment of the monarchy in 3021. House Alba, as only symbolic lords in Lancastria, saw an opportunity for a role in the state and found it when they were granted significant lands in Southern Bonitana by lending their significant private wealth to the Crown during the Doggerland Crusade of 3023. The new Duchy of Alba contains a significant portion of lands in western Bonitana, including the financial district of Southern Bonitana. Since their elevation, they have become among the richest of the great houses.
The current head of the house is Lord Jon, who made the decision to migrate. Lord Jon served as a conservative member of the Lancastrian Parliament from 3007 until 3019, when he lost his seat to the Liberal Party. Since, he has played a significant role in Balancin politics and swore allegiance to King Maximilian II in 3022. His financing helped push the Bonitana reclamation project further into development.
