Glenn Callaghan

From TCH Archive

Glenn Callaghan (born 9 August 2970) is a Wiltshirian politician and government minister who is currently serving as Minister for Health in the War Cabinet of Prime Minister Sonya Inyo. On 1 May 3021, he was elected Leader of the Liberal Conservative Party and became the party's candidate for Prime Minister in the upcoming July 3021 Wiltshire Legislative Elections.

Callaghan was first elected to the Wiltshire National Assembly following the February 3020 general election and served as a LibCon backbencher throughout his first term. During which time, Callaghan became the Chairman of the Assembly Health and Social Care Advisory Committee. When Mark Edwin formed a Labour government in June 3020, Callaghan was appointed to the Shadow Cabinet of Sonya Inyo where he became the Shadow Minister for Health and the Environment. In September 3020, he was appointed Deputy Minister for Health - serving under Kimberly Turner (the long time Liberal Conservative politician). When Turner stepped down at the October election, Callaghan was appointed as her replacement following the LibCon landslide.

Since, Callaghan has led Wiltshire's heath-approach to the IDO/NCR war and, as such, became a favourite to succeed Sonya Inyo as party leader when she announced that she would step down to seek the presidency. Callaghan's campaign was a very long and drawn out one, mostly due to the fact of the election's delay due to the war. However, on 1 May 3021, Callaghan secured his position as Party Leader and as the LibCon's candidate for Prime Minister.
