Overview
The Chisel Enterprises Type 45 assault rifle is a medium-size long range rifle in use by several factions on the Doggerland bank. It is known as being a high quality weapon, rarely ever found in the civilian market and almost exclusively used by militaries and corporate security forces. It is also one of the more advanced rifles on the market, with a suite of electronics available to the operator.
Development
Research on a new standard-issue rifle came after the defeat of the Neu Corporate Republik in the Great Corporate War. Chisel Enterprises desired a new, more advanced weapon to replace the Machtgewehr McG-20. The introduction of the Type 45 came alongside the development of a host of other weapons using the revolutionary new guided round system pioneered by Chisel Enterprises.
Appearance
The Type 45 is a sleek, modern looking rifle available in a host of different camouflage or matte color patterns. It has a straight, 30 round box magazine and integrated carry handle with a rail for scope attachments. Known as being a somewhat heavy rifle, it is generally not preferred by special forces due to its size and weight.
Performance
One of the most accurate assault rifles around, the Type 45 is known for its controllability and precision. This makes it a good medium to long range rifle suited well to open engagements over considerable distances. When it comes to urban combat, however, smaller weapons such as the Type 37 or KAR M12 are generally desired.
Despite being technologically advanced, the weapon is surprisingly reliable, as its carefully-crafted construction renders it highly resistible to water, mud, or dust damage.
One of the selling points of the Type 45 is its advanced electronics suite, which pairs with the guided ammunition it fires. A host of sensors arrayed at the front of the weapon link to the round in flight, which utilizes small internal fins to make small adjustments towards targets. This allows the round to make a five degree correction over a thousand meters.
The weapon is also highly adjustable, coming with single or fully automatic firing option, as well as two and three round bursts.
Use
The Type 45 is one of two primary assault rifles used by Chisel Enterprises, with the other weapon being the Type 37 carbine. It is often wielded in the hands of C.E. PMC's deployed in warzones abroad, as well as those guarding highly secure locations.
It is also one of the two rifles employed by the Paxemese Homeland Security Forces, with the other being the M12 from the competing Karlsruhe Automat Rüstungsaktiengesellschaft.
Finally, it is employed by a host of other corporate security forces and has even seen some use outside the Doggerland Bank, with limited orders from European and Asiatic nations.
