The Prince Class destroyer is a class of four guided missile destroyers currently in service in Wiltshire's Naval Force. The class is primarily designed for anti-aircraft and anti-missile warfare. The first of her class, the WNS Prince, was laid down on March 20, 3020 and is was launched on March 30, 3020 - to be commissioned on March 31. The other four ships of the class will be built over the next three months, presumably following the completion of the Eddington Naval Base.
The class was first announced by Secretary of Foreign and Defence Affairs, Min Zife, in early March 3020. The announcement for the ship, along with the founding of the Wiltshire Naval Force, came along with a big push for increased military spending from Audrick Hill's government. The ships, costing over one billion corporate marks each, is expected to be Wiltshire's largest ever military project. The entire class will cost upwards of 5.5 billion CM. This does not include the proposed Aircraft Carriers that the Wiltshire Government is wanting to build in the next three to six months.
