Thomas Dulles Shore, or as he is more commonly known, Tom Shore, was a Wiltshirian activist and politician who served as the 2nd Prime Minister of Wiltshire from January to July 3010. Shore was the first Socialist Prime Minister and defeated Prime Minister Jaresh Inyo's National Party in January 3010.
Shore became the first Leader of the Socialist Party after he formed the group after resigning from Jaresh Inyo's cabinet. Shore served as Home Minister and was apauled by the "unempathetic" approach the Inyo government was taking with regards to building up national defence after the country's legal formation in 3008. Shore's Socialist Party won their first election and ousted Inyo from government. This was the first ever peaceful transition of power in Wiltshire and occured because of the first ever turnout of the Wiltshirian people.
The Socialists promised universal healthcare, free education and a turn away from the self centred capitalistic model shaped by Inyo's first government. Eventhough Shore was able to move towards a more social system (a system which Inyo would continue in his second term and would be sustained to this day), he was unable to achieve things like Universal Healthcare and a real social safteynet. This meant that in the next election, a re-branded Conservative Party (Wiltshire) led by Inyo was able to win back the support of the country and form the Second Inyo Ministry (Wiltshire). After leaving office, Shore continued to be a loud and active voice in Wiltshirian politics. His son would serve as Socialist Leader and he would continue to campaign for Socialists until his death in 3016 (shortly after the election of Frank Eddington as Prime Minister).
