Robbert Teck was a physicist, lawyer, architect, and the founder of BlackCon Labs Corporation. He was known to perform contract work for various corporations, including the Vedas Foundation and Chisel Enterprises. Before his disappearance, Teck also briefly served as one of Novenae's first members of parliament.

Early Life

Robbert Teck was born on 6 September, 1780 BC Terran years, or ខេត្តដាក់ 73, ផ្លូវ 9148 Neptunian years. From an early age, he was radically different-minded compared to a typical Neptunian child, and did not have the normal aspiration to destroy the small toys given to him. This was viewed as a deformity and a threat to Neptunian lower-middle society, and was kept a well-guarded secret by his family, (though it was eventually used as an excuse to banish him in later years). At the age of 5, he discovered science, when his older brother Brutus Teck spoke of how he had just finished demolishing a Terran building in the district centre that “...had rooms filled with odd machinery for looking at big things in the sky, and tiny things put on glass plates.” The young Teck was fascinated by this, and had a desire to learn more about this strange Terran custom.

Eventually, his curiosity landed him in trouble with the Neptunian bureaucracy. After a heated debate in a public Jakaw A'ar Nazsaa, his closest political rival Janwil Knep revealed scandalous information to the court about Teck's odd childhood behaviour, rudely suggesting that Teck could be a mutant Neptunian. This was used as immediate grounds for Teck's permanent banishment from all districts on Neptune. Frustrated at finding the defense of his political position frivolous, he immediately set off for Terra, hoping to find a few long-lost relatives there and stay with them.

He arrived in England, Terra, in 1854 AD, at the age of 3634 Terran years, or 22 Neptunian years. Finding the Crimean War in progress, and waited until the late 1800s to make a move. After being arrested twice in the streets of England for vague reasons (perhaps related to his unsightly blue appearance), he decided to move to the east coast of North America, where he met Dr. Nikolai Wright by accident. They became fast friends, and Teck's life was saved a number of times by Wright, who once even went as far as to give Teck a heart transplant. He also became involved with other non-Terrans hiding on Terra, and met many other species' of aliens, the most influential being Ms. Aspen Wulfe, who along with Wright, supported and inspired him in his endeavours to begin a political career on Terra. Shortly thereafter, he married Aspen. The ceremony was completely private, with only Wright to act as a witness.

Later Life and Formation of BlackCon

On 16 April 3009, Robbert Teck founded BlackCon Labs Corporation with the help of Ms. Wulfe and Dr. John Seymore Sr. in a quickly growing industrial sector in the British Isles. This was to be the beginning of Teck's career as a corporate leader on Terra. BlackCon swiftly grew to become one of the most innovative corporations in the British Monarchical Clique.

On 29 August 3015, he attempted to retire from BlackCon to lead a more passive lifestyle, but due to turbulence within the corporation he was obligated to return. However, shortly thereafter on 8 December, he was banished from setting foot within the territory of the British Monarchical Clique, which had been the site of most BlackCon development at the time. After expressing hopelessness over the situation, he gave up working directly for BlackCon for a considerable duration: 173 days, (although, it should probably be pointed out, he still did spend quite a large amount of time milling around in other BlackCon facilities doing small things “for a hobby”, as he said.) During his absence from management, BlackCon underwent several shifts in leadership.

On 28 May 3016, the 3rd Progenitor of BlackCon, Jim Convair, resigned. Convair wished to promote the BlackCon officer Nax Anyall to the position of Progenitor, but due to the recent validation of BlackCon Law this was considered an illegal transfer of power. In a strange twist of events, Teck was awarded the Progenitorship a second time.

On 6 September 3017, Teck retired from his second Progenitorship, passing the control of BlackCon over to his head of security, Mr. Ger Loogman, for a total of 240 days before finally returning once again to re-obtain the mantle of leadership on 4 May 3018. Although BlackCon was then still inundated by the economic depression, he remained hopeful for its recovery.

Disappearance

In September of 3018, Robbert and his wife Aspen were reported missing by Eastern Federal Republic authorities. Their current whereabouts were declared unknown, and various warrants for their discovery were issued by several government powers within the Doggerlands.

In mid 3019, some EFR and NF citizens claim to have caught glimpses of Dr. Teck working at several Chisel Enterprises facilities across the Doggerlands, but these claims are highly unfounded, and no evidence has ever been presented. Then Chisel Enterprises CEO Daniel Morsehead publicly denied any knowledge of Teck's whereabouts.
