A royal consort is the spouse of a reigning king or queen. Consorts of monarchs of Rockfield have no constitutional status or power but many have had significant influence. There have been X royal consorts in Rockfield's history, X women and X men.
The current consort is Queen Rose, the second wife of King Maximilian II.
Style
The wife of the reigning King has typically been styled as "Her Majesty The Queen", being addressed as "Her Majesty" or "Your Majesty". However, the husband of a reigning Queen does not automatically share in the titles and styles of his husband. Typically, this is understood to be for the preservation of status for the reigning female monarch, given the status of a "Queen" is lower than that of a "King".
