The Royal Trust is the overseeing body responsible for the management and upkeep of the Crown Estates and corporation. Formed in the late 2800s by King Charles V, the Trust was founded as a consulting body between Crown and government during a time of increasing scrutiny on the allocation of royal funds. Since the formation of the Balancín Kingdoms in 3023, the Royal Trust has been responsible for the management of the Crownlands, which includes all Crown Estates, as well as the management of the Crown Corporation. The Royal Trust is analogous to the 'board of directors' for the Crown Corporation, which is the legal entity which governs the Balancín Kingdoms through the decision-making head in the form of the King.
The chairwoman of the Royal Trust is thusly an extremely important position within the monarchical system of government. The position is currently held by Lady Rose Alba, the heir to the Duchy of Alba.
