Ruby Squadron is a squadron consisting of only 5 members. Each member pilots a V-wing intercepter, which are designed to protect fleets and to "intercept" enemy fighters. Led by Tallie Lintra, Ruby Squadron must still undergo cadet training in order to be officially part of the Dark Angels Navy. This unit must pass their final test in order to become battle-ready pilots.
Tallie Lintra
Tallie is the squadron leader for Ruby Squadron. She is designated as Ruby Leader. She has exceptional piloting skills and has aced all of her prior exams. She is the most sensible member in her squadron, but has trouble getting the others to work together as a team. She worries for her team, and if they aren't able to cooperate with one another, then her squadron can never graduate.
Hotrod Naytaan
Hotrod is the impulsive member of the group. He is designated as Ruby 2. He likes flying by himself. When it comes to fighting as a squadron, he tends to break away from the group and takes on a mind of his own. What he has yet to realize is that he needs the help of his teammates in order to become a successful pilot.
Brace Gram
Brace is the brains of the squadron. He is designated as Ruby 3. His ability to do calculations and spot enemy maneuvers makes him a valuable team member. However, his weakness is his inability to adapt to situations. He is a very by-the-book person. He has made it a habit to cite orders to his entire team every time new orders come in, which often times annoys his teammates.
Farns Monsbee
Farns is one of the more well meaning people of the group. He is designated as Ruby 4. His trouble lies in his aim. As an adult, he needed an artificial eye in order to see better. He is still getting used to the eye and can hit most targets, but still has trouble hitting his mark during starfighter training.
Heff Tober
Heff is the jokester of the group. He is designated as Ruby 5. He has a tendency to not stay completely in flight formation and make unnecessary moves in flight. He likes cracking jokes and doesn't really take combat seriously. He is, however, still a skilled pilot, which is probably why he has an arrogant attitude.
