The restitutio is the name given to the restoration of the universal Church, and especially of the Catholic Church, in the form of the Pontifical Church around 2700 by Pontifex Konstantin I after the effective termination of the practice of institutional Christianity following the meteor impact on Terra in 2351.
History
The precise date of the restitutio by Konstantin is unclear, but it was known to occur in the Arkhangelsk region of the Russian territories around the year 2700 prior to the founding of the Pontifical State and Ekklesiovskian Migration to the Doggerlands in 2717. The event is preceded by the discovery of the Lux Orbis (Latin for 'Light of the World') by Konstantin which detailed how to restore and continue the operation of the church post-meteor. Konstantin used his discovery to claim his divine investiture as the legitimate successor of the pre-meteor church, and as the means for the continuation of apostolic succession despite the centuries long break in the chain of ecclesiastical ordinations.
