The Act of Settlement, or formally An Act for the further Limitation of the Crown and better securing the Rights and Liberties of the Subject, is the constitutional and legal framework for the Wiltshirian Commonwealth. It is notable for its elimination of the principle of parliamentary supremacy, having placed sovereignty into the monarch, the governor-general of Wiltshire.

Provision 1: The governor-general

  1. The governor-general of Wiltshire is the embodiment of the state and is charged with the advancement of the commonwealth of the people of Wiltshire;
  2. The governor-general is to be considered the head of state, in international terms.
  3. The governor-general is charged with the task of forming and overseeing the government of Wiltshire.
