Pembroke University is a private research University in Newton, Wiltshire. Named after its founding benefactor, Peter A. Pembroke, Pembroke is widely considered to be the most prestigious university in Doggerland and amongst the most in the world. The University was established in 2941 and has continued since. Prior to Wiltshirian unification, the University was a very rural one. Many considered the isolation to be an integral part of serious academia.
In 3010, the University was joined with Daystrom Institute into the University of Wiltshire under directive from the Ministry of Education. However, Pembroke continues to maintain independence over all matters related to the University itself. Admission rates to Pembroke are among the most competitive in the world, with less than 1% of applications being successful. As of 3021, Pembroke enrolled 464 undergraduate students and 230 postgraduates.
Many of Pembroke's alumni have gone onto become world leading academics and leaders. Notably, Pembroke was the primary education center to 10 Wiltshire Prime Ministers.
