Shuriken Drinks Company, more often known as Shuriken, is a Marinian multinational food and beverage corporation. The company is headquartered in the Waterfront district of Marino, with interests in the manufacturing, marketing and producing of soft drinks and other products. As of 3020 Shuriken's brands generated retail sales of over 8 billion corporate marks.
History
Shuriken was founded as a single shop in the Old Town District of Marino. Specialising in bubble teas and sodas the store was an instant hit. The second Shuriken was opened just four months later in Mall de Marino in the north of the same Old Town District. It was just a year after launch when Shuriken opened it's first international store as part of the Scion Village development in Scion, partnering with fellow Marino company, Marimi Development. This provided a taste for the brand overseas and the international presence of the company quickly grew. Lancastria, Wiltshire and Atlas were soon followed by stores in Torby, Newport and Sentosa.
In terms of bottled drinks and products outside of the chain shops, Shuriken introduced a wide range of world sodas which garnered attention for their colourful design and fruity tastes. The company has since developed numerous iced teas and canned versions of popular products from their famous chain shops.
Brands
Poca Hot Beverages opened their first store in Marino Airport in 3020. With the intent of providing an anti-Shuriken, Poca provided for hot drinks and snacks. The brand has not taken off with the same level in Marino, perhaps given the hot climate of the city, but demand for the drinks store was high enough in Lancastria to warrant the opening of a store there just fours month after the original Poca opening in Marino.
