The 3024 Wiltshire general election is scheduled to be held on Friday 19 July 3024 to elect the 30th Wiltshire National Assembly. The elections will be the first held under the Kingdom of Wiltshire, having been scheduled by the Royal Commission as part of the framework to re-establish free, fair, and democratic elections in Wiltshire. King George and Queen Victoria confirmed in June 3024 that the elections would give the Wiltshirian people the freedom to choose the kind of administration that they would like to see. The Royal Commission, with the advice of the caretaker government, implemented a first-past-the-post (FPTP) electoral system and sized the National Assembly back to 53 members - a signal of a return to normalcy (given this was the pre-3019 electoral system used in Wiltshire). Voting is expected to take place across all 53 electorates on the same day.
Following their investiture as co-monarchs, King George and Queen Victoria formally appointed a caretaker government. The government assumed many of the responsibilities that were being conducted by the withdrawing BalancΓn military, including humanitarian aid and general administration. The government also assumed the responsibility of re-establishing the political and civic institutions of the state. At the head of the government, the co-monarchs named L. Owen Lassiter to the position of Prime Minister. Lassiter, a conservative and democrat, advised the Royal Commission to schedule democratic elections as soon as possible. Lassiter announced shortly after that he intended to run in those elections for Prime Minister.
