H.R is a Nepalese-Tibetan ex-Buddhist monk, surgeon, and politician currently serving as the 1st Prime Minister of Novenae. Hailing from a small village in Tibet, HR spent most of his childhood as a practicing Buddhist, before eventually apostatizing and pursuing a career in trauma medicine. H.R published several papers on the scientific potential of biomimetics, before being deported from Singapore for illegal prosthetic experiments.
Early Life
HR was born January 20, 2983 in one of the Tibetan warring kingdoms, though he has not specified which. His father worked in the civil service, and HR was given the opportunity of witnessing the inner workings of a functioning government, an experience that would prove useful in his career as the Prime Minister of Novenae. HR's mother was a Nepalese immigrant who met HR's father in Nepal and fled to the kingdom to start a family, despite the instability of the region.
HR recalls his home kingdom as "quaint and peaceful", but acknowledged the looming threat of an invasion by a rival faction. At the age of 18 he was drafted into the military, where he would serve as a combat surgeon treating to "the most egregious wounds imaginable with limited means to repair the damage" as he would state in an interview.
HR fulfilled his conscription and returned to find his home village burned to the ground, his parents missing. Being an only child and having no family to go to, he traveled for weeks through the Tibetan wilderness, finally reaching Korea and entering as a refugee of the Tibetan conflict region. Once in Korea he formally attended medical school and became a licensed surgeon. He was able to travel to Singapore where he would go into private practice.
