Vulcan is the sixth planet from the star 40 Eridani A. The planet was first discovered by humans following First Contact, in which Vulcan explorers, from the VSS T'thrut, landed on Terra following Zefram Cochrane's first successful Warp Drive test in 2063. Vulcans are the dominant species on Vulcan and were the first intelligent alien life known to humanity, on a wide scale.
