The City of Washington, or more commonly known as Washington E.R is a city in western Doggerland which is the capital city of the Novanite Federation.

The city was founded to serve as the capital city of the Terran Federation, and many Federation Presidents served from Washington E.R. However, following the C.E/Federation war and the collapse of the Federation, the city became independent. However, the city later joined the Wiltshire Federal Republic to become it's fourth constituent city. First Minister Toby Wallis became the first Mayor of Washington. As a result of the Novanite Membership referendum in Wiltshire, the city became part of the Novanite Federation.

It was soon inducted as the capital city of the nation. It is now classified as a 'federal province', meaning the Novanite federal government holds jurisdiction over the city. A local mayor-council government runs day-to-day affairs, but is accountable to the federal government.
