The Novenae Defense Force (NDF) is the military arm of the city-state of Novenae, tasked with defending the city and its' people. It is divided into the Ground, Aerospace, Naval, and Home divisions, with the Prime Minister serving as the Commander-in-chief.  

The various terrorist attacks and riots have prompted a large expansion of the military. Due to its' small size, Novenae relies heavily on force multipliers especially in regards to military technology. Novenae's Research & Engineering Bureau is one of the largest offices within the Ministry of Defense, and is responsible for the output of defense technology. While robotic forces have been considered, the Prime Minister has generally rejected their use and only a small group of automated soldiers are maintained.  

Structure

The NDF consists of four service branches: the ground, naval, aerospace, and home divisions.

The home division (also called the "Military Police") is the only branch that has civil jurisdiction over Novenae. On top of supplementing the civilian police force, the home division performs counterterrorism operations, assists with disaster prevention, and is responsible for VIP protection.

Regional commands disperse military protection evenly.
