Ensign Jeffrey Anton "Jan" Rau, usually known as Jan Rau (born 5 April 2963) is a Wiltshirian lawyer and politician who is currently serving as the 23rd Prime Minister of Wiltshire since 4 August 3024.
During the latter part of the 30th century, Rau was conscripted into the Federation's Star Fleet during the Federation / Chisel Enterprises War. He volunteered to mobilise units during Jaresh Inyo's migration to Wiltshire. He held the rank of Ensign. During his time in Star Fleet, the military funded his law degree, which he used to establish his own practice in Wiltshire in 3003, becoming one of the first law firms in the new country.
