Landcasia, or Ladka (Ladkasa: Lãdka) is a Tauran nation located east of SMG, and is part of the SMG Hegemony. Its people are related to the Dalkaisk, and is the closest relative besides Avenian and Carthyan. Its name comes from the Catain name for the nation, Landcas.
History
Ladka was established in 1971 by Bullseyan Settlers sailing from Western Reicala. The first leader was Hulaa Vavũt, who established the egalitarian system of government. the Ladkasan were said to be the first people to develop democracy on Taurus, being the first to develop a representative house in government, and a leader elected by the majority vote in the house.
Ladka's downfall came at the First Tauran Great War, where Mongaulian forces captured the capital of Lãdka Lekẽ, thus capitulating the Ladkasan nation. The Treaty of Lãdka Lekẽ of 2502 was signed the next year, subjugating Ladka as a Protectorate under the newly formed SMG.
Language
The Ladkasa language, or Lãdkasaa [ˌɫãd̪kʰaˈsaː], was the national language of Ladka. It's most closely related to the Dalkaisk and Carthyan languages, and borrows a lot of its academic vocabulary from Gerbian. It's an SVO language, and is most notable for containing long and nasalized vowels.
