Jaresh Mathias Inyo (January 3, 2952 - December 5, 3013) was a Grizzelan politician who served as the last President of the United Federation of Planets and the first Prime Minister of Wiltshire. Inyo was born on Grizzela in 2952. Grizzela was one of the few worlds that was still under the Federation jurisdiction while the government was housed on Vulcan. However, following the Federation's re-establishment on earth, Inyo became a Congressman and Speaker of the House. Inyo was next in line for the Presidency following the death of President Grand Tarkin at the outbreak of the C.E./Federation War. Inyo served as President during this war, however, was incapable of winning the war against the corporate alliance and oversaw the dismantling of the Federation on Earth. Following the signing of the peace accords, Inyo refused to go home. Instead, he led a group of Federation refugees to Doggerland, where they established a number of townships, ultimately forming the City State of Wiltshire. Jaresh Inyo served as its first Prime Minister.
Federation President
Jaresh Inyo became the last President of the United Federation of Planets following the assassination and murder of President Grand Tarkin in 2993. This killing, at the Chisel Enterprises Annual Retreat, led directly to the C.E/Fed War which totally and completely ended Federation rule of Terra. He served as President for 5 years before the dissolution of the union in 2998.
Inyo's tenure as President was legitimate for 3 years (the remaining three years of President Tarkin's term). However, in 2996, Inyo signed the National Defence and Wartime Continuity Declaration, making Inyo the President for as long as the war continued. This meant that he did not need to seek re-election (later on in 2996) and was able to "focus on defeating our enemies".
This didn't last long as in 2998, the Federation signed the surrender agreement with Chisel Enterprises as Washington E.R. was captured.
