Samantha Schrӧder formed the Schrӧder Ministry on February 11, 3019 after winning the February 3019 Conservative Leadership Election following the resignation of Prime Minister Audrick Hill. This Ministry was the first under the new Provincial style of the Novanite Federation and the first to have a female head of government. The Ministry was revelled in scandal, however, as Schrӧder herself was embroiled in a sex scandal which ate much of her political capital.

Schrӧder's government started as a majority Conservative government (due to the party's victory in the January Elections), however, this did not last long as members of the Freedom Caucus broke away from the government following Schrӧder's refusal to leave the Novanite Federation.

History and Formation

January 1, 3019 saw the appointment of Audrick Hill as Prime Minister. Hill formed a minority government with the support of Wiltshire First and appointed Schrӧder the Chairwoman of the Conservative Party. This put her in a prime position to take up the leadership following Hill's resignation. Audrick Hill resigned due to "party divisions" as a result of the Wiltshire NNF Membership Referendum, in which the population voted to join the Northern Novanite Federation (Now simply the Novanite Federation). Schrӧder became Leader after defeating Deputy Prime Minister Joseph Martinson.

The formation of the Schrӧder Ministry left many believing the Conservative Party was in a very strong place. The party held an overall majority, Schrӧder herself was very popular across Wiltshire and she was seen as the next leader of an era, much like Frank Eddington and Jaresh Inyo. However, this sentiment didn't last. Schrӧder was implicated in a sex scandal with Scion President Micro Angelo and her approvals started to drop. In addition, she was heavily criticised for giving an order to fire on angry protestors at Chisel Enterprises's Conference Centre in Wiltshire. This led to disastrous approval ratings as she lost the confidence of her party.

In late February, Wiltshire became an official member of the Novanite Federation. A group of Conservative AMs presented an ultimatum to Schrӧder. "Do not join the NF or we will bring down your government". In a defiant move, Schrӧder fulfilled the will of the people and officially joined the NF. The AMs did break away to form the "Freedom Caucus". However, this was short lived as they were even more unpopular than Schrӧder and all lost their seats in the next election. Furthermore, they were unable to bring down the government as the opposition was now split as a result of the formation of the Labour Party and so a no confidence motion was failed narrowly.

Schrӧder continued on course until the maximum term limit of three months and so was legally obliged to call the next election, in which she was defeated by Rita Smith's Labour Party.
