John "Fillmore" Grey, or as he is more commonly known, Fillmore Grey, (January 19, 2959 - December 9, 3019) was a Wiltshirian politician and statesman who served as the third Director of Wiltshire for three-months during 3019. Grey is famous for his calling of the Wiltshire Flag Referendums and the Wiltshire Independence Referendum, the second of which ended his career as Director when he was forced to resign after backing independence but Wiltshirians voted to remain apart of the Novanite Federation.

Grey was first elected to the Assembly as an independent candidate in the February 3017 Election as a "Independent Conservative". He was re-elected in June but lost his seat to the Socialist Party in October 3017. Following this, he left politics to join the Foreign Office as a diplomat, being appointed Wiltshire's Ambassador to DefCon. This continued until he was re-elected as an "Independent Conservative" in the January 3019 Election - in support of Audrick Hill's new majority Conservative Government. He was appointed Minister for Corporations.

His tenure in government came to an end upon Audrick Hill's resignation, however, as he refused to support Samantha Schrӧder's new government - ultimately hurting her position, leading to the Conservative defeat in April 3019. During the next 5 months, he remained in opposition. However, in June 3019 - when there was a Hung Parliament - Grey decided to join Wiltshire First, the Liberal Alliance and the Green Party in forming a National Coalition. As the only independent member of this coalition, he was easily elected its leader (as a compromise between the three, mostly evenly sized parties). Grey would serve as Director of Wiltshire until his resignation following the September 3019 Wiltshire General Election. Following this election, he became Chancellor of the Authority of Juneville and Minister for the Environment. He would hold these positions until his death in December 3019 during a mass suicide following the New Corporate Republic's invasion of Wiltshire.
