The Octavia Class is a logistical heavy cruiser type ship class of the Vindictus Ove, a “standard warship”, featuring a wide array of cutting edge technology and weaponry, and featuring a wide variety of uses from exploration, support and combat.
Development
The Octavia class was originally introduced as a combat carrier after the 9 Hour War, but was later modified to a heavy cruiser to fit the role of a heavy cruiser after the battles of the Morsehead Conflagration. Variants of the Octavia exists, ranging from Octavia-A3 model lines to A6 model lines.
The Octavia Class is the first significant achievement of the the Wirt of Fareum Gefari movement in the Oscdean State, which aims to expand military and societal progress, and would inspire the development of new ships in the years to come.
The Vindictus Ove seeks to make the Octavia Class the signature class ship for the fleet, making it common and efficient in fulfilling multiple roles.
There are currently 14 active Octavia Class heavy cruisers serving in the Vindictus Ove.
Combat
The cruiser serves as a efficient platform in deploying both ground and air forces, carrying wide range of fighter jets, tanks, and mobile command centers used during invasion operations.
Throughout the ship, the Octavia is fitted with two main hyper Ion cannons, a multitude of antimatter cannons, and missile bays. Although it’s not efficient in long range ship to ship combat, the Octavia exceeds limitation during close range combat, as it’s secondary heavy repeating ion cannons can be very unforgiving when it comes to tearing metal hulls.
Another feature of the Octavia is it’s ability to serve as a mobile command center or base during invasion operations. It’s hull design allows it to land and operate on the ground without any significant difficulties.
