The unification of Arboria was the 3024-25 civil, political, and military movements that ended in the Second Treaty of Ekklesiovsk, which unified the Kingdom of Byfair, State of Barkshire, and State of Senones, into a single government joined to the Holy Roman Empire as the Kingdom of Arboria. The unification was preceded by the breakaway of Byfair and Senones along with several other dependencies from the Republic of Paxem, resulting in an uprising and civil conflicts internally amongst the states and with Paxemese federal forces.

Senones independence

Fayyaad massacre

Civil unrest in Senones largely escalated in January 3024 when 37 protesters were killed by the Senones National Guard during a protest at the entrance to the Fayyaad Oil Refinery. Praetor Stephen Frazier blamed the incident on the protestors, and prohibited further protests and public assemblies. The outrage over the incident led to the rise of the left wing Senones National Congress (SNC) led by representative Alain Sievert.

Underground movements

Soon after his rise to power in the SNC, Sievert began working with underground paramilitary organizations fighting for full independence from Paxem. By April of 3024, these organizations amassed enough strength to cause blackouts, explosions at government facilities, and engage in sporadic firefights with the national guard. At this time the slogan "Blood for Blood" began to gain traction with the general public, upset at the unrest and the Praetor's crackdown on protests and reform rhetoric.

Capitol push

After nearly a year of civil unrest, on 13 November, Sievert led several forces aligned to his political efforts in an open offensive against the state government at the Senones Capitol building. The national guard quickly collapsed under mounting pressures from Sievert's forces, with rumors the Praetor had already fled the state for Paxem.

By 16 November, Sievert's forces took control of the capitol complex, and the Praetor and his cabinet were found dead inside, allegedly taking their own lives. Sieverts declared independence for a newly reorganized State of Senones, with himself as the provisional president.
