Elizabeth (born Elizabeth Holland, 23 November 2980 until 6 January 3023) was Queen Consort of the Balancรญn Kingdoms as the wife of King Maximilian II. She became queen consort on 6 September 3022, upon the accession of her husband following the abdication of Queen Mary. Queen Elizabeth died in a car accident on 6 January 3024. Her husband later became Holy Roman Emperor.
Born as the second daughter of Lord Harold Holland, Duke of Addis, Elizabeth was never intended to rise very highly in the nobility. With the abolition of the monarchy in 2986, Elizabeth seemed destined for a life of diminishing nobility and, eventually, to be among the first of the nobility to return to private life. With a bit of luck, and significant work, Elizabeth's father, Lord Harold, was able to retain ownership of Addis Castle and continued to style himself as Duke, despite no official recognition from the state. In 2999, Elizabeth attended Divinity School at Pembroke University, where she met Lucian Hohenzollern-Ansbach, the son of the deposed King of Romania, Maximilian. Lucian would go onto inherit the crown of Rockfield as King Maximilian II.
During their studies, Elizabeth and Maximilian married and, in 3001, had their first son, Louis. Elizabeth took an extended break from her studies for the birth, returning in 3007 to complete her MPhil in Philosophy and Theology. After Louis, Elizabeth and Maximilian went onto have four additional children: Henrietta in 3002, Peter and Victoria in 3004, and Olaf in 3012. Upon Maximilian's ascension to the throne, all five of Elizabeth's children became styled "Prince" and "Princess".
Titles and Styles
- 23 November 2980 - 4 February 2986: Lady Elizabeth Holland
- 4 February 2986 - 20 June 3000: Miss Elizabeth Holland
- 20 June 3000 - 20 October 3021: Miss Elizabeth Hohenzollern-Ansbach
- 20 October 3021 - 6 September 3022: Her Highness The Duchess of Sinacras
- 6 September 3022 - 6 January 3023: Her Majesty The Queen
Despite not being the reigning Queen of Rockfield, Elizabeth was styled "Her Majesty The Queen" and was officially recognized as Queen of the Balancรญn Kingdoms. There is no legal titular distinction between Queen and Queen Consort, though Elizabeth should not be confused for a Queen Regina, or sovereign Queen.
