Waldron Moor (born 29 September 2957) is a Balancín nobleman who is the 23rd Lord of the Redfyre. Born as the bastard son of Lord Neswitt Moor, Waldron was never intended to inherit the castle of Redfyre. However, when the Hot Fever of 2980 killed all of Waldron's siblings, Lord Neswitt petitioned King Charles VI to legitimise Waldron. He did so and Waldron was named as the heir to Redfyre.
Five years later in 2985, upon Lord Neswitt's death, he became the 23rd Lord. He quickly married Lady Salina Spires, the only child of House Spires. Waldron's marriage to Salina granted him the lands of House Spires and, upon Lady Salina's death in 2995, all the lands of House Spires and of the Redfyre were consolidated. House Moor quickly became the most powerful non-great house in the Balancín world.
During the years of the Second Federation, Waldron refused to submit. His lands, which stretched northern Bonitana, were not targetted by them and he was permitted to continue independently, despite the strategic position of the castle Redfyre at the mouth of the River Mander. Throughout the years of the Federation and the interregnum (the time in which no King sat the Iberian Throne formally), House Moor maintained its allegiance to the Caliban and even celebrated a Silver Jubilee for King Charles VI in 3001.
Following the restoration of the monarchy, the Redfyre lay outside of the boundaries of Rockfield and instead lay in the region of Bonitana, controlled by the Neu Corporate Republik. During this time, Waldron complied with NCR law. Following the destruction of Bonitana and the fall of the NCR, Moor attempted to assert that he did so out of fear of retaliation from the NCR state, a claim which many have soundly debunked owing to the fact that Moor volunteered over two-hundred Taurans to the NCR in the period of 3020-3021.
Following the fall of the NCR, House Moor re-confirmed their "true" allegiance to the Iberian Throne. At this time, Rockfield was bitterly divided during the War of the Balancín Succession. House Moor, separated by the Bonitana wasteland from mainland Rockfield, proclaimed support for House Maekar. Many speculated that the decision was in an attempt to avoid the wrath of the invading Lancastrian military force. Upon the ascension of King Maximilian II to the Iberian Throne, Moor was among the first to travel to the capital to bend the knee and to swear allegiance to the new King.
