The Holocene Impaction Event, also simply referred to as "the Meteor Strike" was an event resulting in the extinction of approximately 87% of the Earth's plant and animal life. The impact shifted the Earth's axial tilt from 23.5 degrees to 25 degrees, inducing harsher seasons and more severe weather patterns.
