Frank Eddington formed the Second Eddington Ministry on July 20th, 3018 following the July 3018 Wiltshire General Election, which resulted in Eddington's Socialist Party loosing its majority in the National Assembly. This government held a minority of seats in the Assembly and continued in office until losing more seats in the November 3018 Wiltshire General Election. The rule of the Second Eddington Ministry is considered the downfall of the height of the Socialist Party.

History and Formation

Frank Eddington became the Prime Minister of Wiltshire in January 3016 following his landslide election against incumbent Prime Minister David Loynd. Eddington's promises of Universal Healthcare and a national insurance safety net allowed him to continue to win consecutive landslide elections. However, in late 3017, there was the Great Corporate Depression which sunk Doggerland into deep economic uncertainty. This uncertainty was mostly withheld from Wiltshire until early 3018 when the Wiltshire Stock Exchange collapsed and unemployment in Wiltshire reached 30%. This caused popular politicians such as Peter Hay to rise to challenge the Socialists and took their majority away from them in July 3018.

Eddington was still the largest party and formed a minority government (as the opposition couldn't form a stable government) and this continued until November when he lost even more seats to the Conservatives. This government was the beginning of the end for the Socialist rule in Wiltshire and would set the tone for Audrick Hill's time in office.

Eddington did little during this time than his earlier time in office. However, he most notably got Wiltshire involved in the August Conflict and the October Conflict.
