The Pontifical States 3021 Cabinet Purges refers to the mass turnover of senior members of both the Cabinet of the Pontifical Church and Cabinet of the Pontifical States by Pontifex Konstantin IX after assuming office in 3020. The firing of nearly all of the top level and many other officials in the executive departments, a highly atypical act in the Pontifical States where cabinet members usually serve extended terms regardless of a change in the pontificate, led directly to increased frustrations with the Pontifex and a select number of previous officials turning against him in the December Crises of the same year.
Background
The lead up to the cabinet purges is generally considered to be due to various appointments to the cabinet by Pontifex Rokossovsky. The first universalist pontifex, and contoversial for his actions
